Delete pages from a PDF

Remove blank sheets, duplicate scans or pages you are not sending on. Pick them in the preview or type their numbers.

Typing here and clicking the previews do the same thing.

How to delete pages from a PDF

    1. Choose your PDF. Every page appears as a preview below.
    2. Click the pages you want gone, or type their numbers, for example 2, 5-7.
    3. Press Delete pages. A new file without those pages is saved to your downloads; the original is untouched.

    About deleting PDF pages

Documents arrive with pages you do not want: the blank back of a duplex scan, a fax cover sheet, an internal appendix that should not go to the client, the same page scanned twice. Removing them is often the last step before a file is sent.

This tool builds a new PDF from the pages you keep, which is the safe way round — the original file on your disk is never modified, so a mistake costs you nothing. Kept pages are copied with their text, fonts and links intact.

Previews and typed page numbers are two views of the same selection, so you can click through a short document or type ranges for a long one. The page count is checked before anything is written, and the tool will not let you remove every page.

    Questions about deleting PDF pages

Does this change my original file?

No. A new PDF is created from the pages you keep and saved to your downloads. The file you chose is never written to.

How do I remove a range of pages?

Type it, for example 5-7, or click the pages in the preview grid. Single pages and ranges can be mixed: 2, 5-7, 11.

    Can I undo a deletion?

You do not need to — the original is still on your disk. If the new file is wrong, choose the original again and make a different selection.

Is the deleted content really gone from the new file?

Yes. The removed pages are never copied into the new document, so their content is not hidden inside it the way it can be when a page is merely covered over.

Why can I not delete every page?

A PDF with no pages is not a valid document and most readers refuse to open it, so the tool asks you to leave at least one page.
